Language class certificates with accented names
Upload the class list and edit the Course template. Certificate text uses Noto fonts so accented names such as Zoë Müller, José Álvarez, and Søren Østergaard can print. Preview one certificate if a name uses other writing systems.
Language classes care about the exact spelling of a name. The recipient line uses the cell as written. Preview a name with accents, then download the rest of the class.
Suggested template: Course. You can edit every line of it, then download PDF, PNG, or JPG.
Steps
- 1.Type names in the sheet with the correct accents. The tool does not autocorrect names. A CSV should be saved as UTF-8.
- 2.Upload and map Student or Name. The course column can be the class name, such as Evening language class.
- 3.Keep the recipient font on Noto Serif Italic or Noto Sans. Those fonts cover accented Latin letters such as Zoë, José, and Søren.
- 4.Preview one certificate, then the batch. Open the PDF and look at the name. If it looks right, download the rest.
Free covers 10 certificates per batch, with a small sheetcerts mark. Batch pass is $5 once for up to 200, without the mark. Pro is $19 a month or $190 a year, up to 500 a month, with saved templates. Team is $39 a month or $390 a year, up to 3,000 a month, with a public check page.
sheetcerts creates certificates from the text and spreadsheet you provide. It is not a school, an exam board, or an accrediting body.

Questions
What if a name uses other letters?
Preview that exact name in a PDF before you download the batch. Some writing systems do not lay out correctly in the PDF.
Can I write the certificate body in another language?
Yes. Template text is whatever you type. Fields such as {{course}} still fill from the spreadsheet.
What level label should I use?
Use the label your class uses. The tool does not know CEFR levels and will not check them.
