How to edit a certificate template
Every starter template can be edited. Change the title, body, signer lines, colors, font, and font size, show or hide the logo, seal, border, and signature lines, and drag elements on the preview. Free includes the edits and the preview, with a small mark. Saving the template is included with Pro and Team.
What you can change
Text fields are the kicker, title, subtitle, recipient line, body, and two signer names with titles. Colors are accent, background, and text. Fonts are Noto Sans and Noto Serif, in regular, bold, and italic. Alignment is left, center, or right. Paper is A4 or US Letter, landscape or portrait.
Columns in the text
Type {{name}} or use Insert column. Mapped fields are name, email, course, date, hours, and organization. Any other token is matched to a header, ignoring case. Unknown tokens become empty. The email field does not send email.
Logo and signature
Upload PNG, JPG, or WebP. Drag the image on the preview or nudge it by 1 mm.
Save versus session edit
Free and Batch pass can edit for the current visit. Pro and Team can save the template for the next batch.
Steps
- 1.Open the tool and choose Edit template. On a phone, the editor is a bottom sheet. On a wide screen it sits beside the preview.
- 2.Change the words. Edit each text field. Insert a column where the spreadsheet should fill a value.
- 3.Adjust layout. Toggle elements, change colors, and drag the selected item. Switching paper rebuilds positions and keeps your wording.
- 4.Preview a real row, then download. The preview, the PDF, and the image export use the same positions and the same substituted text.
Free covers 10 certificates per batch, with a small sheetcerts mark. Batch pass is $5 once for up to 200, without the mark. Pro is $19 a month or $190 a year, up to 500 a month, with saved templates. Team is $39 a month or $390 a year, up to 3,000 a month, with a public check page.
Open the editor and bring your spreadsheet.
Questions
Can I start from a blank page?
No. You start from one of the eight layouts, then edit it. Reset puts that starter's default wording back.
Will my logo be public?
No. The logo stays with the certificate you are editing. A very large image may need to be smaller before it can be saved.
Can I remove the free mark?
Not on the Free plan. The mark is added at download time and is not one of the template switches. Other plans omit it.
