sheetcerts compared with Word mail merge
Word mail merge fills a Word document from a data source such as a spreadsheet, which Microsoft documents in Word's own help. sheetcerts fills a certificate template from CSV or Excel and downloads a ZIP. It does not edit DOCX files. Word's license price is not listed here.
| Topic | sheetcerts | The other tool |
|---|---|---|
| Job it is built for | Certificate batches with a fixed set of layouts you can edit. | Any Word document you want to fill from a list, including letters and labels. |
| Where you use it | On this site. Your spreadsheet stays on your device. | In Word on your computer, using the data source you connect there. |
| Layout control | Text, color, Noto fonts, alignment, logo, seal, border, signature lines, A4 or Letter. | The full Word page, with the fonts installed on that computer. |
| Output | One PDF, PNG, or JPG per row inside a ZIP. | Word can print the merge or save documents, depending on the Word version you have. Check Microsoft's current help for the exact save steps. |
| Sending | You download the files and share them yourself. | Some Word and Outlook setups can merge to email. That is a Microsoft feature, not this site. |
If the certificate must match an existing DOCX exactly, stay in Word. This tool will not open that file.
If you want a certificate layout and a ZIP without installing Word, use the tool on this site.
Microsoft publishes mail merge steps in Word help. Follow those pages for Word-specific limits and buttons.
Free covers 10 certificates per batch, with a small sheetcerts mark. Batch pass is $5 once for up to 200, without the mark. Pro is $19 a month or $190 a year, up to 500 a month, with saved templates. Team is $39 a month or $390 a year, up to 3,000 a month, with a public check page.
